How to Prepare for
Your Session
Everything you need to feel relaxed, beautiful and ready.

GUIDE 01
Maternity Session Prep
Scheduling
Best captured around 31 to 36 weeks. For multiples, 27 to 31 weeks is recommended.
Makeup, Hair & Nails
Book a mani-pedi a day or two before. Natural daytime makeup works best. Soft waves or a blow out looks beautiful and elegant.
Wardrobe
Bring up to 3 outfit changes. Flowy long dresses, bandeau tops and maxi skirts work beautifully. Solid earthy tones or pastels only. Avoid patterns, stripes and logos.
Partner
Partner should match your tones and fabric style to keep the image seamless and elegant.
GUIDE 02
Newborn Session Prep
Scheduling
Best in the first 14 days after birth. Sessions take 2 to 4 hours with breaks for feeding and changes.
Preparing Your Home
Set heating to 21 to 24 degrees at least an hour before arrival. Lightly clear the main bedroom and living room.
Baby Prep
Keep baby awake before I arrive and save the big feed for when we start. A milk drunk satisfied baby is key for those sleepy curled up shots.
Wardrobe
Keep it simple and neutral. I provide all baby wraps and outfits. Parents wear soft neutral linens or cosy knits.
Older Siblings
Siblings go first. Do not worry about them running around, it is supposed to be natural and fun!

GUIDE 03
Family Session Prep
Scheduling
Weekends work best, ideally in the morning when kids are in a happy mood and parks are quieter.
Wardrobe
Choose 2 to 3 earthy tones and stick to them. Solid colours only, no patterns or logos. Bring a spare change for each child just in case.
Hair
Get haircuts done a few days before. Mum, use this as an excuse to treat yourself with hair and nails done!
What to Bring
Dry snacks for the kids, wipes, a hairbrush, and jackets if cold. We will find the perfect spot together.
Setting the Mood
Session is 90 minutes. Tell the kids it is a nice walk in the park. I have tricks and games to keep everyone happy and smiling naturally.
